Classifying Accounts

Manage your customers by classifying them into different categories, type/source, state and status.

This is an easy method to identify where your customer stands by just a click. You can define what names that you would like to use for classifying and then assign it to the customer.

Account Category names can be given by looking at what kind of service your company offers.
Account Type/Source lets you understand from where you got the customer. Most commonly, it would be from Website, any reference, through various advertisements etc. Such names can be added and later be assigned to the customer.
Account Status shows the present situation or status of the customer. This too depends on what kind of names you would prefer to give. Like Open, Followup, Rejected, Closed. Using this status, you can easily make out where the customer stands at the moment.
Account State can give a clear picture of the customer about his interest in your service. You can define it based on percentage, names, numbers or any thing else.

Lets take an example of a Hotel Industry. You can use Account category names like Luxuary, corporate, superior, executive etc. For Account type/source, you can put names such as  Website, Reference, Advertisement, Marketing, Regular. Account Status can be Reservation, Registration, Occupied, Holding, Closed
Account State can be Decent, Good, Noisy, Disturbing, Neutral.
This was just an example as how the classification of customer can be done in a hotel.

Let me give one more example of a Software company. You can have Account Category names like Basic, Premium, Prime, Ultra Prime, Lite etc.
Account type/source - Magazine, Justdial, News paper, Website, Google Ads etc
Account Status - Open, Follow up, Closed etc
Account State - Hot, Warm, Cold, Dead etc

Similarly, you can define any such names to categorize your customer.

So now there is no difficulty in understanding who is your customer and where they stand. If your partner wants to see the customer details that you are handling, he has it all without even bothering you.
Or you have assigned one customer to your junior to work on, he has the complete set of details about the customer. He can take action from anywhere in the world.
Ofcourse, your junior cannot see the customer unless you assign that customer to him. That means CTrac CRM software has access control too. You can set up group permissions to your subordinates or employees of your company so that they have access to only those information that they are supposed to use.

Add-on Feature

We have now released a new feature called 'Tagging' in the CTrac. Tagging is an effective tool which can help you to classify your accounts(customers) seamlessly and beyond the boundaries of Account Status, State and Category.

You can use Tagging feature by adding new tags to your CTrac Account. Admin users can add Tags and Account owners can associate their accounts to the correct tags. Also you can generate Custom reports based on Tag filter.
